Menstruation
is a natural process of a woman. Menstruation can be one measure of a woman's
fertility. Menstruation is the process of releasing of the uterine lining that
comes out through the vagina. Every woman who enters teenager or puberty will have
menstruation. Menstrual cycles of occurs on average about 28 days. But maybe
not all women have the same menstruation cycles, sometimes occurs around 21
days and 30 days. But the cycles can occur varies from month to month or it can
be fixed.
Many women
of childbearing age which routinely have painful menstruation. Pain which is
related with cramps take place in the days before or beginning menstruation.
Pain is felt in the lower abdomen or middle abdomen and possibly spread to the
hips, thighs, and spine
in medical
terms menstruation pain is called dysmenorrhea. Substance called prostaglandin
is the main cause. When the process menstruation of start, these substances
stimulate contraction to release of the uterine lining, so that causing cramp.
This
substance also causes arterial and venous vessels expands, so that menstrual
blood is more easily released. However, it can also cause blood pressure to
decreased so that the body will feel weak and dizzy.
Moreover,
the flow of menstrual blood may also have exacerbating to the pain. Blood clots
or menstrual blood flow which swift through narrow openings cervix. Stretching
of the cervix by the flow can cause pain. Menstruation pain can diminished or
disappeared when some women after giving birth to their first baby because they
have openings cervix widened
